Our story begins with a group of passionate individuals who recognized the need for change in the lives of women around the world. Witnessing the inequalities and barriers that many women face on a daily basis, especially those living with disabilities, in areas such as politics, media, and finance, we set out on a mission to empower and develop women in these pivotal areas.

With this purpose in mind, we established our nonprofit organization, dedicated to advocating for women’s rights and providing them with the necessary tools and resources to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Our key initiatives – EmpowerHer, African Women in Politics Arise, Media for development, and SheFinance – embody our commitment towards creating a more equitable world.

Through our EmpowerHer initiative, we shine a light on the unique challenges faced by women with disabilities. We work tirelessly to promote their rights, while also equipping them with the knowledge and resources they need to break barriers and create change in their own lives. Whether it be through skill-building workshops, educational programs, or advocacy campaigns, we strive to empower every woman with a disability to reach her full potential.

In our African Women in Politics Arise campaign, we recognize the urgent need to increase the representation of women in politics. We believe in the power of women’s voices and their ability to effect meaningful change in their communities. Through this initiative, we provide training, mentorship, and support to aspiring female politicians, equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the political landscape, and promote their campaigns to ensure their voices are heard.

Our Media for development initiative aims to reshape the narrative surrounding women in media. We believe that gender-sensitive reporting and storytelling can be powerful tools for positive change. By fostering partnerships with media organizations, conducting awareness campaigns, and providing training on gender-sensitive reporting, we strive to create a more inclusive and empowering media landscape.

Lastly, our SheFinance program recognizes the importance of economic independence for women. We understand that access to financial services and resources is crucial in allowing women to lead independent and empowered lives. Through SheFinance, we bridge the gap by providing women with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to navigate the financial landscape, make informed decisions, and achieve economic autonomy.
